Centre Guidance

Home Centre Guidance

1. Governance and Compliance

  • Centres must maintain a clear governance structure, with defined roles and responsibilities for staff involved in qualification delivery and assessment.
  • Centres must ensure compliance with all relevant IIMTS AB policies (e.g., Complaints, Appeals, Malpractice, Equality & Diversity, Data Protection).
  • Any changes in governance, staffing, or resources must be promptly communicated to IIMTS AB.

2. Conflicts of Interest

  • All actual, potential, or perceived conflicts of interest must be declared to IIMTS AB.
  • Centres must have documented procedures to prevent conflicts from affecting assessment outcomes.

3. Learner Access and Fairness

  • Centres must provide equal access to qualifications, ensuring compliance with Equality and Diversity policies.
  • Reasonable adjustments and special considerations must be applied fairly to support learner needs.

4. Assessment and Internal Quality Assurance

  • All assessments must be valid, reliable, and aligned with IIMTS AB’s qualification specifications.
  • Centres must implement robust Internal Quality Assurance (IQA) processes to standardise assessment decisions.
  • Assessment records and learner evidence must be securely maintained for audit and review.

5. Malpractice and Maladministration

  • Centres must have effective policies to prevent, identify, and report malpractice or maladministration.
  • Any suspected or confirmed cases must be reported to IIMTS AB without delay.

6. Third-Party Arrangements

  • Where delivery or assessment is subcontracted, centres remain fully responsible for ensuring compliance with IIMTS AB standards.
  • All third-party arrangements must be declared and approved in writing.

7. Monitoring and Continuous Improvement

  • Centres must cooperate fully with External Quality Assurers (EQAs) and monitoring activities.
  • Action plans arising from monitoring visits must be completed within agreed timescales.
  • Continuous review of delivery and assessment practices should be embedded in centre operations.

Centres play a critical role in safeguarding the reputation of IIMTS AB qualifications. As part of the approval process followed by ongoing monitoring, centres are expected to follow to agreed policies, maintain accurate learner records, prevent malpractice and maladministration, and respond promptly to any quality assurance actions. Continuous monitoring, internal verification, and cooperation with External Quality Assurers (EQAs) are essential to sustain compliance. In doing so, centres share responsibility with IIMTS AB for protecting learners’ interests and ensuring public confidence in all awarded qualifications.
