Become a Centre
Why become IIMTS AB Centre
Step 1: Submit Application
Interested organisations begin by completing the Centre Recognition Application Form, available via email submission or the online Centre Portal (https://center.iimtsab.co.uk/login). The form captures essential details such as:
- Organisation profile (name, type, establishment year, address, website).
- Staff structure (delivery team, learner support, marketing, IT, assessment).
- Qualifications of interest.
- Preferred start date of delivery.
Timescale: IIMT Studies acknowledges receipt of the application within 48 business hours.
Step 2: Primary Screening & Fee Payment
The initial screening involves reviewing the organisation’s profile and the basic information provided in the application. If additional details are required, IIMT Studies will request them at this stage. Once satisfied, IIMT Studies issues an invoice for the application and recognition fee.
Important: Fee payment is mandatory to proceed further in the recognition process.
Timescale: Invoice is issued after the primary screening and must be settled before inspections commence.
Step 3: Document Submission & Secondary Screening
After the fee payment, the Centre is required to submit a detailed set of organisational documents to demonstrate compliance with IIMT Studies’ quality standards and Ofqual’s Conditions of Recognition. These typically include:
- Governance and organisation chart.
- CVs of senior staff, academic team, and delivery staff.
- Policies (Complaints, Appeals, Equality & Diversity, Malpractice, Health & Safety, Data Protection, Anti-Radicalisation, etc.).
- Organisation Quality Manual and Code of Conduct.
- Evidence of infrastructure, technological resources, and learner support systems.
IIMT Studies’ Quality Assurance team carries out a desk review (secondary screening) of these documents, clarifying any points directly with the Centre.
Timescale: Desk review and secondary screening are completed within 7 business days after submission.
Step 4: Centre Inspection (CI)
Following the secondary screening, an External Quality Assurer (EQA) arranges and conducts a Centre Inspection (either on-site or remote). The CI verifies:
- The authenticity and effectiveness of submitted policies and procedures.
- The competence of staff delivering and assessing qualifications.
- Adequacy of infrastructure and resources (classrooms, IT systems, online delivery platforms).
- Compliance with quality assurance and regulatory requirements.
The EQA produces a draft inspection report for internal review and a final report for the Centre, including findings, recommendations, and any required action plans.
- If the Centre meets standards: It proceeds to recognition.
- If there are partial gaps: IIMT Studies supports the Centre in addressing them.
- If standards are not met: The Centre may reapply after corrective action.
Timescale: The inspection and reporting process is completed within 3–5 business days following the review.
Step 5: Approval & Recognition
Centres that pass the inspection are invited to sign a Centre Agreement with IIMT Studies. This formal agreement outlines the mutual duties and responsibilities during the partnership. Once signed:
- The Centre is granted official Recognition Status and awarded the Centre Recognition Certificate.
- A unique Centre Number is issued for correspondence and learner registration.
- The Centre attains Brown Status, confirming full compliance with IIMT Studies’ standards.
- The certificate specifies which qualifications the Centre is authorised to deliver.
- The Centre receives:
- Marketing guidelines
- A policy kit
- Continuous support from IIMT Studies for compliance, quality assurance, and learner registration
Timescale: Certificate and Brown Status confirmation are issued within 5 business days after a successful inspection and agreement signing.
